The DSS is a high resolution digital player & streamer of any audio format today's available.

The DSS is a stand alone unit can play any computer file and digital transport via USB but even via traditional coaxial digital input and output.
The Blacknote DSS, acronym of "Digital Static Streamer" can play any kind of high resolution audio files up to 24bit and 192KHz though it is format Wav, Flac, AIF, AIFF, Apple Lossless (ALAC) and others, as well as commonly used compressed files such as MP3, AAC, M4A.
The audio files are streamed into the DSS directly via its USB ports without the need of any Digital to Analog converter or computer connection. The audio tracks can be played from any external device such as USB Memory Sticks, external Hard Disks Drive (HDD), Computers and even CD Rom Drive players having USB connection. The audio tracks files can be organized through a customized playlist managed by a computer's with a simple user friendly "Windows-Directory" program allows to number and manage any single folder and track easily.
The DSS display shows the main functions of the unit: the track name of the audio file, the time, and even the format/quality of the track being handled.. The DSS features a RS232 port to hook large external display like the Blacknote DSF.
The DSS features also a high performance Ethernet port to link the DSS to the LAN network. The unit maybe used as a traditional Hi-End D/A Converter for CD Transports through Coax input/output digital connections.
